The Pirate Shop Token (shown in-game as Pirate Shop Access) is an ultra-rare random reward from opening chests in Fortnite Battle Royale during the Treasure Hunters mini-season. It gives you two 14-day windows — one in 2026, one in 2027 — to claim eligible Item Shop cosmetics without spending V-Bucks. If one player finds it, everyone in their party gets it too. Epic hasn't released the drop rate; the community estimate is roughly 1 in 700,000 chests.

How the odds calculator works
Every chest is treated as an independent roll with the same tiny chance p. Your party's chance of finding at least one token is 1 − (1 − p)n, where n is the total number of chests everyone in your party opens. Because the reward is shared, squads effectively get four rolls for every chest each player opens.
The result is sobering at 1 in 700,000: a four-stack opening five chests each per match, six matches a day, finishes the season with well under a 1% chance. That's why only a handful of finds had been reported in the first days.

Treasure Hunters timeline
- Launch: Treasure Hunters adds Treasure Hunt prizes to Battle Royale chests, with Pirate Shop Access as the rarest prize.
- First day: the first finds are reported and clips of the Pirate Shop splash screen spread across social media.
- Week 2: reports say new rewards rotate in while the token stays in the prize pool.
- December 15, 2026: reported last day to activate your 2026 Pirate Shop window.
- 2027: the second activation that comes with every find.

A full-screen message announces Pirate Shop Access the moment the chest rolls it. Nothing else changes in your match: you can keep playing, and the reward is already on your account and on your squadmates' accounts. Back in the lobby, the Item Shop shows a Plunder the Shop banner. There is no code, generator, website or Discord bot that gives you this reward. It only drops from chests in-game and can't be transferred between accounts. Anyone asking for your Epic login or payment to "unlock" one is trying to steal your account.
