How to activate Pirate Shop, step by step

1. Finish (or leave) your match
   The token is added to your account as soon as you find it. You don't need to win.
2. Open the Item Shop
   From the lobby, go to the Item Shop tab as usual.
3. Select "Plunder the Shop"
   Players with Pirate Shop Access see a Plunder the Shop banner in the bottom-left corner.

4. Choose "Activate Now" — when you're ready
   This starts your 14-day window. Pick a moment when the shop is likely to have items you want.

   The Item Shop rotates daily. Check it each day of your window so you don't miss anything.

Pirate Shop Access expiration date

There are two different clocks, and it's easy to mix them up:

• The deadline to activate: reports say the 2026 window must be started by December 15, 2026. After that, the 2026 activation is gone.
• The 14-day window: once you activate, you have 14 days of free claims. The window ends 14 days after the moment you pressed the button.

Items you claim never expire — they stay in your Locker. The 2027 activation runs on its own schedule next year.

When to activate your Pirate Shop

You choose when your two weeks start, so timing matters:

• Don't rush. Reports say the 2026 window can be activated until December 15, 2026. You don't need to use it the day you find it.
• Watch for big shop weeks. New collaborations and returning fan-favorite items can make one fortnight far more valuable than another.
• Plan to be around. Fourteen days only helps if you log in. Avoid starting it right before a trip or exams.
• Don't leave it to the last day. If you wait for the perfect week, set a reminder a few days before the deadline so the window doesn't slip past.
• The 2027 activation is separate. You can't stack the two windows; each one is activated on its own.

What the Pirate Shop includes and excludes

When someone in your party finds the token, every member receives their own Pirate Shop Access. That means each squadmate has their own 2026 and 2027 activations and can start their 14 days whenever suits them. Coordinating can still be fun — activating together lets you compare claims and plan around the same shop rotation — but nobody is forced to use their window at the same time as the person who found it.

Example: planning your window

Say you find the token on November 10. Activating that night gives you November 10–24, which is fine if you'll be playing. But if a big collaboration is rumored for early December, waiting and activating on, say, December 1 gives you December 1–15 and still beats the reported December 15 deadline. The trade-off is risk: the longer you wait, the closer you get to the cut-off, so pick a date, set a reminder, and stick to it.

Getting the most out of your 14 days

• Check the shop every day. The shop resets daily, and some items only appear for a day or two.
• Keep a wishlist. Note the items you've wanted for a long time and look out for them first.
• Prioritize items that rarely return. Collab and limited items are the biggest wins; common styles come back often.
• Remember what's excluded. Real-money offers and passes stay paid, so don't plan your window around them.

Can't find Plunder the Shop?

If the banner doesn't show up, work through these checks before assuming something went wrong:

1. Make sure you're on the account that was in the party when the token was found.
2. Open the Item Shop from the main lobby rather than from a sub-menu.
3. Fully restart the game so your account inventory refreshes.
4. If it still doesn't appear, contact Epic Games player support with the date and time of the match.

Activating the 2027 Pirate Shop window

Every find also includes a second activation for 2027. It works the same way — a separate 14-day window you start yourself — but its exact activation dates haven't been detailed yet. We'll add them here as soon as Epic shares them.
